Schleswig-Holstein and the Voronezh region intensify their cooperation

At the end of April a delegation from Schleswig-Holstein visited the Voronezh region with the aim of strengthening the cooperation between the two regions.
Apart from engaging in discussions on enhancing the cooperation between the Voronezh Agricultural University and the Christian Albrechts University of Kiel, the guests took the opportunity to visit a farm operated by the EkoNiva Group.
Stefan Dürr, founder and CEO of the German holding company Ekosem-Agrar AG, received the guests in person. In addition to a tour of the dairy plant in Verkhniy Ikorets in the Voronezh region, Dürr described the structure of the Ekosem Group and spoke about the special aspects of dairy farming and processing in Russia, as well as about the experience of marketing dairy products on the Russian market under the new umbrella brand "EkoNiva".
Hans-Jörn Arp, member of the State Parliament of Schleswig-Holstein, praised the progress being made in Russian agriculture. He commended the EkoNiva company as a wonderful example of successful entrepreneurship in Russia, and also of fruitful cooperation across national borders.
The cooperation between the Voronezh region and the Federal State of Schleswig-Holstein is to be stepped up further in the future. To this purpose, a reciprocal visit to Schleswig-Holstein is planned in the coming year.
