The milk, with a fat content of 3.5% and 3.2%, will be supplied to restaurants by the fast food chain in four Russian regions from April 2021 and will be used to prepare drinks from the classic McDonald's menu as well as in the McCafé.

McDonald's is the leading food service chain in Russia with more than 780 restaurants. 99% of the McDonald's products come from local suppliers. Each of them is regularly audited for compliance with high international food standards. Ekosem-Agrar is now one of these companies.

"Like us, our suppliers are committed to continuous process improvement to ensure impeccable food quality," says Sergey Kapkov, Purchasing Director of McDonald's Russia. "We are delighted that Ekosem-Agrar will become a McDonald's partner in Russia. Together, we will continue to delight customers with the incomparable taste and quality of our restaurant chain's coffee drinks."

One of McDonald's strategic priorities in Russia is to work with vertically integrated suppliers. It is no secret that under the EkoNiva brand we only produce dairy products from fresh high-quality milk from our own farms. McDonald's representatives visited our production facilities and checked compliance with all requirements. They were very satisfied with the high standards at Ekosem-Agrar and also with the EkoNiva products, which they tasted afterwards.

"It took us a long time to start working together, as McDonald's selection criteria are quite strict and the demands on suppliers are high," says Dmitry Rave, sales manager of dairy products for HoReCa sector at EkoNiva. "Above all, the evaluation of our milk was positive: EkoNiva meets the highest demands of customers. We hope that our cooperation with the McDonald's restaurant chain will be fruitful and long lasting!"
