Ekosem-Agrar increases daily milk production to more than 1,000 tons

Walldorf, 28 December 2017 - Ekosem-Agrar GmbH, the German holding company of Russian milk producer Ekoniva Group, has hit the 1,000-tons-a-day mark in raw milk production for the first time. This is equivalent to a growth rate of more than 65% within one year. The company thus further strengthens its position as the largest milk producer in Russia.

The positive market environment, including government investment grants, low-interest bank loans and good milk prices, have contributed to this achievement. In 2018, we will continue to increase efficiency in milk production and focus on developing our own dairy processing. Provided that the situation remains favourable, we will continue investing in new dairy operations. Assuming attractive takeover opportunities, further acquisitions may be considered.”
