Ekosem-Agrar AG: Deferral of interest payments due on 1 August 2023 to noteholders of the Ekosem-Agrar bond 2019/2029

Walldorf, 22 June 2023 - Ekosem-Agrar AG has exercised its right to defer interest payments. This decision was taken after consultation with e.Anleihe GmbH, the joint representative of both bonds issued by the company, and the company’s noteholders’ advisory committee. Accordingly, the payment of the interest claims of the noteholders of the ESA bond 2019/2029 (ISIN: DE000A2YNR08) due on 1 August 2023 in the amount of 2.5% for the period from 1 August 2022 to 31 July 2023 will be deferred for one year, as well as the interest already deferred last year for the period from 1 August 2021 to 31 July 2022.

The deferral of interest claims is necessary from the company's perspective, as it is not possible to transfer such a large amount of liquidity from Russia to Germany in an increasingly difficult political environment.
