Russia's most important agricultural forum takes place for the 21st time this year and promises to be a great success for the EkoNiva Group as well. Organic milk from the organic farm Savinskaya Niva (EkoNiva Group) will be offered for tasting at the fair for the first time. The milk will soon also be available for retail sale.

The International Agricultural and Nutrition Forum will be held for the first time this year as part of the Golden Autumn. With the plenary "Green Brand". Made in Russia: Perspectives on the global food market" the exhibition was opened up.

The "Green Brand" is a new label developed by the Russian government for agricultural products, raw materials and foodstuffs manufactured in Russia with improved environmental properties.

"Traditional agriculture has changed dramatically. Traditional methods of excessive fertilization are not always efficient. Moreover, this approach is harmful to the environment and the most important thing is that people want to buy genuine biological products*, even if they are more expensive," Dmitry Medvedev stressed during the opening plenary.

In his statement, Russian Agriculture Minister Dmitry Patrushev emphasized the opportunities for growth in the organic sector: "The volume of Russian exports of organic products currently amounts to only 14 million euros per year, but according to expert estimates Russia could account for at least 10% of the world organic market.

Stefan Dürr is largely positive about the event: "I liked the fact that organic, biological and ecological products are perceived as a separate category at the event today. The "Green Brand", on the other hand, is something quite different. This is a product with improved properties, but not an ecological product or organic product," emphasized Stefan Dürr. "It is good that this has now also been understood at state level. I am convinced that organic products will have great success and export potential here in Russia. As far as products with the "Green Brand" label are concerned, the future will show whether they will be in demand on the market and also in export."
